Sailability – Nautical Mile Propel Project

Event Description

Rye Harbour Sailability is working with The Mason Foundation to develop an exciting new programme: The Nautical Mile Propel Project.

The programme will support 12 young people aged 15–18 who have learning disabilities or are neurodivergent. Participants will experience sailing with Rye Harbour Sailability’s trained instructors and experienced crews, using specially adapted and accessible boats.

Alongside their time on the water, the young people will take part in The Mason Foundation’s Propel workshops. These sessions will help them recognise their strengths and develop skills valued by employers. Participants will build teamwork and communication skills through sailing, while also learning how to write a CV and prepare for job interviews.

Rye Harbour Sailability and The Mason Foundation are seeking funding to bring the programme to life and give these young people the opportunity to discover what they are truly capable of.

Clubhouse bar open to members and their guests.
