Event Description
Enjoy every spellbinding step through the stunning landscape of Rye Harbour Nature Reserve in this exceptional five-race summer series.
Friday 10 July 2026 · 6:30pm
Rye Harbour Nature Reserve, East Sussex
The Rye Summer Classic Series is a unique opportunity to run through one of Britain’s most treasured conservation sites. The flat, fast tarmac course passes a remarkable landscape of shingle ridges, saltmarsh, grazing marsh, reedbeds and saline lagoons. Conditions on the reserve can be breezy, but when the wind is kind, quick times are very much on the cards.
With a friendly race-day atmosphere and distances suitable for newer runners and experienced competitors alike, this is a summer series worth returning to. August offers 10K, 5K and a chip-timed 1K junior run; the September finale is a 5K race.
